A 68 year old male had severebackache radiating to his legs ,numbness in both legs and difficulty in passing urine.He was almost bed ridden.
MRI of his spine showed multiple level disc prolapse with canal stenosis .The nerves were badly trapped at multiple
levels
The nerves were freed by doing laminectomy and discectomy at the affected levels.
The spine was fixed with screws and rods.
The patients power improved following the surgery and he is now independent.
